U.S. embassy in Azerbaijan held a roundtable on socio-political situation in Azerbaijan, chairman of Azerbaijan Democratic Party (ADP) Serdar Jalaloglu, who has been invited to the event, told APA. He said that heads of opposition parties, representatives of government and NGOs had been invited to the roundtable. The event will be closed. Public Affairs Officer of the embassy Terry Davidson told APA that the roundtable would be on the theme “Political situation in Azerbaijan and forthcoming referendum”.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev issued a decree on implementation of the law on combating the money laundering and funding of terrorism. The decree orders to establish the Financial Monitoring Service under the Azerbaijan National Bank for implementation of the state policy in the combating the money laundering and funding of terrorism, strengthening of the control in this system and coordinating the relevant organizations, press service of the President told APA. The Azerbaijan National Bank will prepare the regulations of the Financial Monitoring Service and will submit it to the President within a month.

On 3rd June was held on next meeting of International working group of Implementation of the international standards to Human Rights at the conference hall of the “Dolphin” hotel in Baku, Azerbaijan.

June 1st is the International Child Protection Day. The proposals on ensuring child rights was raised on June 1st in 1950, in the “International Conference of Women” organized by General Assembly of UN, and in that meeting 1 June was chosen to be dedicated to the internationally protection of child rights.
