“We expect Azerbaijan’s President to sign a pardon decree on the eve of the New Year,” Human Rights Commissioner Elmira Suleymanova told journalists. “If signed, it will be the 50th pardon decree,” she said. Elmira Suleymanova said she constantly meets with the prisoners and the members of their families regarding pardoning and received relevant proposals.

Human Rights Commissioner has recently appealed to Azerbaijan’s President regarding the next pardon decree.
