Baku hosts the international conference, titled “Twentieth Year of Independence: Successes Achieved and Challenges Faced on the Way to the Progressive, Fair and Dynamic State Building,” jointly organized by the Center for Strategic Studies under President of Azerbaijan (SAM) and United Nations Development Program.

Guoting SAM’s website that the main purpose of conducting the conference is casting light on successes achieved in Azerbaijan after the restoration of independence as well as on the results of socio-political, economic and cultural processes in the country, as well as on future development priorities and scenarios.

More than 300 officials including state and governmental officials, representatives of international organizations and diplomatic corpses, civil society and leading mass media, local and international experts, participate in the event.
